As a sworn English translator in Wrocław, I apply clear billing rules in accordance with the regulation of the Minister of Justice for official assignments, and market rates for business clients.
How is the translation cost calculated?
In the translation industry, two main billing standards are applied, which are worth knowing before commissioning work:
- Standard and specialized translations: Billed based on a typewritten page consisting of 1800 characters with spaces. This allows for a more favorable price for texts that do not require official certification with a seal.
- Sworn (certified) translations: One calculation page is a statutory 1125 characters with spaces. Each commenced page is counted as a full page. This is a standard resulting from legal regulations governing the profession of a sworn translator.

Why is sworn translation calculated differently from standard translation?
This stems directly from the regulations governing the profession of a sworn translator. The smaller number of characters per page (1125 instead of 1800) compensates the translator for the immense legal responsibility for every word and the necessity of maintaining a register (repertory).
Is a document quote chargeable?
No. Every quote prepared by my translation office in Wrocław is completely free of charge. After receiving a scan of the document, I send the exact cost and deadline, and you decide whether to proceed with the order.
Do I issue invoices?
Yes, I issue invoices for all services rendered, which is particularly important for my business clients from Wrocław and all over Poland.
Does the price include personal pickup in Wrocław?
Yes, documents can be picked up in person by prior arrangement. I also offer shipping by registered mail, courier, or parcel locker.
